Research Plan

My plan is to find out all the people that have either lived in Africa or can speak african. I'll try to survey all the people that meet my qualifications.

My Survey

How many African languages do you speak?

How long have you have you lived in Africa?

Where did you live in Africa?

How familiar are you with the Bantu language?   On a scale of 1-5.

Did you go to school in Africa?

My Summary

Bantu is a group of 13 languages. The main languages that make up Bantu are Swahili, Zulu, Xhosa, and Rundi. 5 million people use it as a mother language and 30 million use it as a second language.  A majority of schools teach  Bantu and have since the 19th century, the schools consider Bantu very important. There has been a lot of controversy over the importance of Bantu, but has stayed strong and is still very important in most of Africa.

My Research plan

I would like to convey a survey to the few students who speak languages from kenya. I hope that the people that I survey can provide me with information that will help me a lot on getting information. I also hope to find informational articles on the internet.
